I read McCurdy's book and found reading it similar to watching a something bad happening. You knew it was going to be bad, but you just couldn't look away. It's horrible what she went through, but it does sound like she's come through it with an understanding. I am also reading Abedin's book and ennoying it so far.
It’s true! I did think there moments of insightful levity that made it irresistible (as I said) but yeah - your heart goes out to her! And - tell me what you’re reading next (well I guess I can read in YOUR substack) since it sounds like we have the same tastes!!

We definitely sound like "book twins" lol. I'm currently reading Hello Beautiful and We Should Not Be Friends and enjoying both of them quite a bit.
